The bipartisan congressional task force investigating the assassination attempt on former President Trump last month in Pennsylvania confirmed Monday they will be the only body with jurisdiction in probing the tragedy.The comments from ranking member Rep. A New Jersey woman has been charged after shocking video showed her entering a tiger closure at a south Jersey zoo last week, police said.The Bridgeton Police Department said 24-year-old Zyair J. Dennis of Millville was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing and two city ordinance violations associated with climbing fences within a zoo.The incident happened at the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton on Aug. 18. Dennis was allegedly seen climbing over a wooden fence to reach the tiger.In the video, it appeared as though she reached toward the tiger before the animal attempted to bite her hand.TIGER CUBS AND MOTHER SNUGGLE TOGETHER AT MEMPHIS ZOO | FOX NEWS VIDEOThe video then showed her darting back over the fence and leaving the enclosure. Special counsel Jack Smith on Monday appealed federal Judge Aileen Cannon’s ruling dismissing his classified records Mar-a-Lago case against former President Donald Trump, arguing that his appointment is valid. Cannon, the U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, last month dismissed Smith’s case against Trump, ruling that it violated « the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution. » Cannon said Smith’s appointment of special counsel was unconstitutional. But Smith appealed Monday. JUDGE DISMISSES TRUMP’S FLORIDA CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS CASE »The Attorney General validly appointed the Special Counsel, who is also properly funded, » the filing states. « In ruling otherwise, the district court deviated from binding Supreme Court precedent, misconstrued the statutes that authorized the Special Counsel’s appointment, and took inadequate account of the longstanding history of Attorney General appointments of special counsels. » Smith also argues that he was « properly funded through the congressionally enacted ‘permanent indefinite appropriation’ to ‘pay all necessary expenses of investigations and prosecutions by independent counsel appointed pursuant to' » U.S. code. The Appointments Clause says, « Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States be appointed by the President subject to the advice and consent of the Senate, although Congress may vest the appointment of inferior officers in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments. » Smith, however, was never confirmed by the Senate.CLASSIFIED DOCS CASE DISMISSAL MEANS ‘GREATEST’ LEGAL ‘THREAT’ TO TRUMP IS ‘GONE’: EXPERTS »Upon careful study of the foundational challenges raised in the Motion, the Court is convinced that Special Counsel’s Smith’s prosecution of this action breaches two structural cornerstones of our constitutional scheme – the role of Congress in the appointment of constitutional officers, and the role of Congress in authorizing expenditures by law, » Cannon wrote in her decision last month. « The Framers gave Congress a pivotal role in the appointment of principal and inferior officers. That role cannot be usurped by the Executive Branch or diffused elsewhere – whether in this case or in another case, whether in times of heightened national need or not, » she continued. »In the case of inferior officers, that means that Congress is empowered to decide if it wishes to vest appointment power in a Head of Department, and indeed, Congress has proven itself quite capable of doing so in many other statutory contexts. But it plainly did not do so here, despite the Special Counsel’s strained statutory readings, » Cannon added. »In the end, it seems the Executive’s growing comfort in appointing ‘regulatory’ special counsels in the more recent era has followed an ad hoc pattern with little judicial scrutiny, » she said.Trump had faced charges stemming from Smith’s investigation into his possession of classified materials at his Mar-a-Lago residence. The Minnesota State Fair is in full swing this week, with attendees seen lining up outside a popular anti-Tim Walz booth to win « Never Walz » prizes after the Gopher State governor ascended to the second spot on the 2024 Democratic presidential ticket. « Never Walz, » reads a massive sign on a booth at the state fair, which has attracted long lines of people waiting to receive « Never Walz » fans and T-shirts, Fox News Digital has learned. The booth was set up by conservative nonprofit Action 4 Liberty MN, which allows attendees of the nation’s second-largest state fair to spin a wheel to win « Never Walz » signage and apparel. « Our amazing supporters spin the wheel for a chance at a free T-shirt and a ‘Never Walz’ fan. We’re a nonprofit organization that promotes liberty by exposing the RINOs and Leftists when they betray liberty, and we work to mobilize our grassroots army of supporters and train them on how to wield their individual political power as effectively as possible, » Action 4 Liberty leader and former Republican Minnesota state Rep. Erik Mortensen told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. The Minnesota State Fair, which kicked off on Saturday and will run through Labor Day weekend, is anticipated to attract 2 million visitors. CeeDee Lamb’s holdout with the Dallas Cowboys has come to an end, as he reportedly agreed to a massive extension that has him set to return to the team ahead of the 2024 regular season. Lamb and the Cowboys agreed to a four-year deal, reportedly worth $136 million, making him the second highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. His $34 million per season on the extension is just $1 million shy of Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson, who reached an extension with his squad this offseason worth $35 million per season. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMLamb finally reaching a deal with the Cowboys comes after the All-Pro wideout reportedly saw the team up their extension offer following a request for more than $33 million per year earlier on Monday.The Cowboys also reportedly trimmed down their years on the deal to four, which is what extensions for receivers like Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown and A.J. Brown went for already. COWBOYS REPORTEDLY INCREASE OFFER TO CEEDEE LAMB BEYOND $33 MILLION PER YEARNFL Network also added that Lamb wasn’t just unhappy with the average annual value of the previous proposed deal by the Cowboys, but also the cash flow and guaranteed money on the table. Well, NFL Network added Lamb is getting $100 million of his $136 million guaranteed with a $38 million signing bonus. The 25-year-old have held out from Cowboys camp throughout the offseason, and he has yet to practice with the team while contract negotiations were ongoing. Meanwhile, his quarterback, Dak Prescott, who is also due a new contract with his current one expiring at the end of the year, has been present. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made things more interesting in the public eye regarding Lamb after telling reporters he had « no urgency » to get something done with his top receiver. Lamb eventually posted « lol » in response on social media, causing what many fans believed was a significant rift between the two. But the deal is done and Lamb can return happy with two weeks to prepare with his teammates for the team’s opener against the Cleveland Browns on the road. Since entering the league as a first-round pick by the Cowboys in 2020, Lamb has just gotten better with every season. Our age was the age of political protest, civil rights, and patriotism. RFK JR RESPONDS TO DRAMA WITHIN KENNEDY FAMILY, WIFE’S DISCOMFORT AFTER TRUMP ENDORSEMENTWe both had front row seats to the birth of social movements that empowered women, gays, blacks, and environmentalists. We witnessed the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (1960), Malcom X (1965), Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (April 1968) and Robert F. Kennedy, SR (June 1968).  Although the assassinations left us stunned, we grew up at a time when it was common for children to believe that we lived in the greatest country on earth and that being an American was something special to cherish. Most significantly, we both grew up in an era that had us wanting to serve our nation.  Many of us remember that powerful line from his late uncle’s presidential address: « Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. » Those words meant something powerful for the generation old enough to reflect on the meaning of the words. As RFK Jr pointed out in his speech announcing he was suspending his campaign, the national Democratic Party of the 1960s were perceived as being « champions of the Constitution and civil rights. » Kennedy said:The Democrats stood against authoritarianism, against censorship, against colonialism, against imperialism, and against unjust wars. We were the party of labor, of the working class.TAMMY BRUCE: AN OPEN LETTER TO THE KENNEDYS WHO TURNED ON RFK JRHowever, today’s Democratic Party is unrecognizable. It has rejected everything that made America great in the world. It has turned against the competitive election of candidates who compete and debate each other for its presidential nomination. Instead, it now installs hand-picked candidates that the media anoints.While it decries racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, and other great evils, the Democrat Party has a pattern of using members of identity groups to help it advance its own goals even though those goals are often against the best interests of the American people, including members of the identity groups it purports to represent. Democrats today are the party of elitism, wealth, big money, big pharma, and judicial activism that uses lawfare to punish its political opponents, even if this means passing laws to invent crimes that were not recognized as crimes until the party perceives an interest in taking down an opponent.According to Kennedy, what alarms him most is the Party’s « resort to censorship, media control, and weaponization of federal agencies. When a U.S. president colludes with, or outright coerces, media companies to censor political speech, it’s an attack on our most sacred right of free expression. And that’s the very right upon which all of our other constitutional rights rest. »Indeed, propaganda and control of the media have robbed Americans of open and honest debate associated with free societies. As evil as that is, it gets even worse. The Democrats have a plan for destroying the U.S. Supreme Court’s autonomy by stacking the courts with liberal justices expected to render decisions long sought by progressive who would like to turn America into a socialist nation. To get the simple majority needed to change the size of the court, the Democrats are willing to promise the moon.  Americans who are struggling are being enticed with promises of « free » to solve their problems: free housing, free healthcare, free education, free transportation, pretty much anything they desire. As it has for RFK Jr recently, it dawned on me many years ago that the Democratic Party wasn’t truly for freedom. That spurred my evolution. Coming into Christianity marked a natural progression that took me from Democrat, to independent, to Republican.  As part of this journey, I earned political appointments from both George W. Bush and Barack Obama during my time as an independent, and later as a Republican from President Trump to his short-lived 1776 Commission where I served as vice-chair for less than a month.Today, as a conservative Christian, I applaud and welcome RFK Jr to whatever role God has for him.If President Trump is reelected, Kennedy might have an opportunity use his knowledge and experience to bring badly needed reform to healthcare during the next Republican administration.  Whatever RFK Jr’s future, we should be grateful that there are a few Democrats remaining with the integrity, foresight, and knowledge to stand up and hold their party accountable.

So from a scale of 0 to 10, I would give her a zero, » said an Arivaca, Arizona resident on Harris’ record on the southern border. »Everything is literally open. People just come across, wait to get picked up and get sent along somewhere in the U.S, » said the Yuma resident.Harris has often been described as the « border czar » for her role in immigration assigned to her by President Biden, although some media outlets sought to dispute the title and argued it’s unfair to assign her blame for security problems.A Del Rio, Texas gun shop owner called out the vice president for doing « nothing » for border security and said she has never been to the border, although in 2021, Harris visited a processing center in El Paso. The Del Rio resident also gave Harris a zero for her handling of immigration and said the border crisis will just « get worse » under a Harris administration.Migrant crossings at the southern border, which had been increasing in the last months of the Trump administration, skyrocketed after Biden entered office. Biden also rolled back a number of Trump-era initiatives and attempted to place a moratorium on deportations. With numbers rising quickly, Biden told reporters that Harris would be put in charge of tackling « root causes » – issues like climate change, poverty and violence the administration believes was driving migrants north. »There’s about five other major things she’s handling, but I’ve asked her, the VP, today — because she’s the most qualified person to do it — to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that help — are going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border, » he said.It quickly led to Harris being dubbed by media outlets and Republicans as the « border czar. » The White House rejected that title, but it has stuck with her ever since and made her a figurehead along with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for the crisis.While Texas has been reliably red in presidential elections since 1980, Arizona has become a significant swing state. In 2020, Joe Biden narrowly carried it to become the first Democrat to win the state since Bill Clinton in 1996. An Evangelical Christian group is hoping to shake up the 2024 race by persuading voters of faith to see Vice President Harris as the candidate who will better uphold their values. »We all want people to think more deeply about their civic participation and their faith, and how their faith engages with their politics, » Rev. Lee Scott of « Evangelicals for Harris » told Fox News Digital. « [F]rankly, I believe that President Trump has used Christian voters to further his own ends at the expense of the faithful witness of those same voters. Behavior that would be unacceptable in toddlers is promoted as strengthened leadership. And that’s gotta change. »Scott is a Pennsylvania farmer, pastor and registered Republican who is supporting Harris this November with Evangelicals for Harris, formerly known as Evangelicals for Biden.White evangelical voters have traditionally supported the Republican presidential candidate and an overwhelming majority backed Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections. But the pro-Harris group believes it can make inroads with evangelical voters who’ve been turned off by Trump’s rhetoric.REV. After its Billy Graham ad, it released another video ad warning Trump was a « false prophet » warned about in the Biblical passage 1 John 4.A third ad put out this week called « fruits of the spirit, » features Harris talking about how her faith informs her to take care of her neighbor. « The Bible says, we shall know Christ’s true followers by their fruits. Authorities have opened an investigation after a gardener found four grenades in the bushes while working near Los Angeles on Thursday. A bomb squad from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene after a gardener in Baldwin Park, California, reported the discovery along Merced Avenue.  CALIFORNIA WOMAN HEAD NEARLY $500K WORTH OF STOLEN GOOD FROM DRUG STORES: POLICEThe Baldwin Park Police Department told Fox News Digital that the grenades were determined to be of Russian style, but did not elaborate. LASD said bomb techs took possession of the grenades and rendered them safe. Authorities re-opened the street and neighborhood after giving an all clear. LASD’s Sgt. Jose Eguia told FOX 11 that the grenades were Russian-styled F-1 grenades. Eguia tested all four devices, determining three of them to be safe, while the fourth was considered a functioning explosive device. The FBI’s Los Angeles field office told Fox News Digital it is working with LASD and Baldwin Park police to investigate the origin of the grenades.  Baldwin Park is about 20 miles east of Los Angeles.
