Khan, who has been engaged in public feuds with Trump in the past and has outwardly called the Republican presidential nominee a racist, a sexist and a homophobe, categorized the upcoming American election as one of significant importance. Trump has also been critical of Khan, describing the mayor in 2019 as a « stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London. » « Make sure you’re registered to vote and make sure you vote, » Khan told Politico this week. « Because the election that happens on Nov. 5, in my view, is the most important election in my lifetime. » Politico also asked Khan about some of the worst unrest the United Kingdom had seen in years following the mass knife attack in Southport this summer. In the interview, Khan also defended Starmer, who has been mired in controversies in his first three months in office involving accepting donor gifts, slashing winter fuel allowances for retirees and low approval ratings. A suspect fatally shot a passenger on a Los Angeles MTA bus early Wednesday before hijacking the vehicle and then leading police on a wild chase for over an hour before he was apprehended by a SWAT team, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) tells Fox News Digital.The dramatic incident unfolded at around 12:45 a.m. when police received a 911 call about a shooting and subsequent bus hijacking at Figaro Street and Manchester Avenue.Police say the suspect shot at least one person before holding the driver at gunpoint and forcing him to drive northbound. During the initial stages of the hijacking, other passengers were seen exiting the bus, police say.ATLANTA BUS HIJACKING SUSPECT HAD 19 PRIOR ARRESTS, MENTAL ILLNESSES, FAMILY SAYSThe LAPD’s SWAT team eventually stopped the bus at 2:05 a.m. in the vicinity of South Alameda Street and 6th Street, about six miles northeast of where the initial hijacking took place. Police deployed spike strips to slow it down and it eventually came to a stop before the suspect barricaded himself in the vehicle. Online images and a live stream from local news reporters show an MTA bus stopped at the side of the road with an armored police vehicle in front of it and an armed SWAT team at the scene.The suspect was taken into custody and the injured victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries, police say. Police say the incident is now being treated as a homicide investigation.The Los Angeles Fire Department says that two other people on the bus refused treatment. A motive for the shooting is not known.

At 14, she got a commercial license – then set out on her own. Go buy a boat,' » she recalled. « So that’s pretty much how that happened. » While lobsters are not considered endangered, there are constant concerns about over-fishing and population collapse of the species. As a result, lobstering in Maine is « one of the most sustainable industries – fisheries – on the planet, » Samuels said. « We throw back way more lobsters than we keep in a day, » she said. « It’s highly regulated. » Every lobster she catches has to be measured using a gauge. Lobsters that are smaller than the gauge have to be thrown back – and so do the ones that are bigger than the gauge. The sex of the lobster matters as well, especially if the female lobsters have eggs showing. »If the lobster is a female and it has eggs on it, and the second-to-right flipper on the tail is not notched, then you have to notch it so that the next person who catches it, even if she doesn’t have the eggs on her belly anymore, will know that she’s a ‘proven breeder’ and she has to go back, » Samuels said. »So even if you pull a lobster, a female lobster that has no eggs on her, but she has a mutilated flipper, then you legally cannot keep that lobster, » she continued.YOGURT IS A HEALTHY SNACK MADE MORE NUTRITIOUS WITH THESE TIPS FROM DIETITIANSKeeping these breeding lobsters in the water – and out of kitchens – ensures that the lobster population can survive into the future. « That’s why we’ve had such a good, strong industry for so many years, » she said. Meet Pesto, the nine-month-old king penguin chick stealing hearts and bumping up attendance at the Sea Life Aquarium in Melbourne, Australia.

Pesto weighs more than both his proud parents combined at a staggering 49 pounds. His parents, Hudson and Tango, each weigh about 24 pounds.
According to a statement from the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, Pesto is the heaviest chick the facility has ever had.His gender was announced to the world earlier this month when his keeper, Michaela Smale, « shovel[ed] away a mountain of fresh snow to unleash an avalanche of blue. »
According to the aquarium, Pesto has a « hearty appetite of 25 fish a day, » contributing to his massive size.

Claire Burrell, General Manager of Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, said of Pesto, « he has brought immense joy to everyone here at Sea Life Melbourne and to penguin fans around the world. We look forward to sharing his future adventure – which will include fledging and then swimming lessons. »As Pesto approaches adulthood, his rapid growth will plateau as a fledgling. The chick has already begun molting its brown feathers, which will then be replaced by the black and white ones typical of king penguins.Keepers at the aquarium anticipate Pesto to drop his baby weight as he matures to around 33 pounds. »He’s going to start losing that really adorable baby fluff. It might take him one to two months to really get rid of it. Then he’ll be nice and sleek and streamlined, » said one keeper to the Associated Press.
Pesto hatched into the world on January 31. Authorities are searching for a Yellowstone National Park employee who has been missing for more than a week after he ventured onto a mountain peak alone. Austin King, 22, was last heard from Sept. 17, 2024, around 7 p.m. That’s when he called a family member from the top of Eagle Peak, according to the National Park Service (NPS).King was dropped off by boat Sept. 14 and spoke with a backcountry ranger near Howell Creek the following Monday. NPS said King was headed to site 6D8 for the night and planned to climb Eagle Peak Sept. 14, when he called a family member and mentioned fog, rain, sleet, hail and windy conditions. CALIFORNIA FAMILY REUNITES WITH UNCLE WHO WAS ABDUCTED AT 6, OVER 70 YEARS AGOA Minnesota native, King worked as a concession employee for Yellowstone National Park. He was reported overdue to the Yellowstone Interagency Communications Center when he failed to arrive for his boat pickup near Yellowstone Lake’s Southeast Arm Friday. Search and rescue efforts began Saturday morning, involving aerial reconnaissance and ground search operations in the high mountain areas of Eagle Peak. Rescuers discovered King’s camp Saturday evening in the upper Howell Creek area. More than 20 ground searchers, two helicopters, unmanned air systems and a search dog team are involved in the search operation. King is described as 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds with tattoos and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and gray pants and was carrying a « dark-colored » backpack, NPS said.

Yes, Harris, who shows as much respect for rule of law as P Diddy, though she’s probably a better rapper. The funniest part? Out of all the names in the letter, nine of the biggest ones, including Clapper, John Brennan, Panetta, also signed another letter, you might recall. Remember our favorite pirate, Captain Rehab? Remember how he left a laptop full of incriminating evidence at a repair shop, then abandoned it like an out-of-wedlock child? And how messages connecting his old man to cash dealings with China and Ukraine were wedged between the homemade porn like Hunter and a hooker sandwich? And how they all denied it even existed when it threatened to derail his father’s campaign for president. Well, then, you also remember what saved Joe’s candidacy: an open letter– from 51 former intel hacks claiming Hunter’s laptop had « all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation. » This, of course, was a lie and also an incorrect use of the word earmarks. A former John Kerry staffer was arrested on Nantucket late Friday morning for allegedly writing a bad check to a casino for $1.5 million, just one day after his island mansion was sold at a foreclosure auction.Daniel Burrell was wanted by law enforcement authorities in Colorado and Nevada after writing a $1.5 million check that bounced at a Las Vegas casino, the Nantucket Current reported.The arrest comes one day after Burrell’s island estate was sold at a foreclosure auction for $12.52 million.Burrell previously had warrants out for his arrest in Pitkin County, Colorado, the outlet reported, for allegedly defaulting on over $75 million in bank loans he used to pay off divorce payments, buy a yacht and purchase luxury homes.TIM WALZ’S $250M STATE PROGRAM TO FEED HUNGRY KIDS FRAUDULENTLY SPENT ON LUXURY GOODS, OVERSEAS REAL ESTATEThis arrest is the latest in a number of legal troubles for Burrell, who served in the Clinton administration as a member of its Domestic Policy Council from 2000 to 2001. Burrell’s ties to Kerry include serving as a campaign finance assistant to the former U.S. Senator and Secretary of State during his presidential campaign in 2004. He once described Kerry as « an incredible mentor, » the Current reported. « Dan was a young college graduate hired as a campaign finance assistant and ultimately finished the 2004 campaign as a regional finance staffer in California, before heading to law school and starting his own professional ventures, » a source close to Kerry told Fox News Digital.Last November, Burrell was sued by First Western Bank for allegedly defaulting on $56 million in business and construction loans. Then in April 2024, Alpine Bank launched legal action, according to the Current, which alleged he owed $18 million on an $18.5 million loan. Burrell was unable to immediately provide the $10,000 bail set by the judge in Nantucket and was held overnight at the Nantucket Police Department, according to the Current. »My understanding is he was picked up today on an arrest warrant out of Nevada where he is owing money, presumably on these casino markers, to a casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, » Fritz told the Current at the time.Prior to Friday’s arrest, the Current reported Burrell was entangled in other legal issues on Nantucket over the summer, ranging from a petty theft charge to a dispute with a small business property manager on the island.Fox News Digital reached out to the Nantucket County Sherriff’s Department for comment, but has not yet heard back.

Former President Trump on Tuesday is vowing to « launch a historic buildup of American manufacturing muscle and might » through an economic and tax deal he says he will be offering to « every major company and manufacturer on Earth. » Trump, speaking during a campaign event in Savannah, Georgia, said his plan for the U.S. economy – which is centered around a « 15% Made in America » corporate tax rate – will « create millions and millions of jobs, massively raise wages for American workers, and make the United States into a manufacturing powerhouse like it used to be many years ago. » « Here is the deal that I will be offering to every major company and manufacturer on Earth — I will give you the lowest taxes, the lowest energy costs, the lowest regulatory burden. And free access to the best and biggest market on the planet, » Trump said. « But only if you make your product here in America. It all goes away if you don’t make your product here. And hire American workers for the job. If you don’t make your product here, then you will have to pay a tariff, a very substantial tariff. » TRUMP GIFTS PENNSYLVANIA MOM OF THREE WITH $100 AT GROCERY STORE CHECKOUT: ‘COMPLETE SURPRISE’ Trump argued that « with the vision I’m outlining today, not only will we stop our businesses from leaving for foreign lands, but under my leadership, we are going to take other countries’ jobs. « We’re going to take their factories, » Trump continued. « We’re going to bring thousands and thousands of businesses and trillions of dollars in wealth back to the good old USA. » « Under my plan, American workers will no longer be worried about losing your jobs to foreign nations. Lowering the corporate tax rate to 15% for all businesses would lower tax revenue by $460 billion per a dynamic analysis by the Tax Foundation, to $673 billion, according to the Tax Foundation’s static analysis. The Penn Wharton Budget Model estimates that tax revenue would be $595 billion lower over a decade under the policy. EARLY MAIL-IN VOTING DATA SIGNALS GOOD NEWS FOR REPUBLICANS, TRUMP: EXPERT Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris has proposed raising the corporate tax rate to 28% from the current 21%, after she had previously supported a 35% corporate tax rate during her short-lived presidential campaign in the 2020 cycle. The Harris campaign has described this as a « fiscally responsible way to put money back in the pockets of working people and ensure billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share. » The CRFB’s analysis found that increasing the corporate tax rate to 28% would raise tax revenue by $1 trillion from fiscal 2026 to fiscal 2035. The Tax Foundation’s analysis also projected that it would raise taxes by $1 trillion, while the Penn Wharton Budget Model estimated it would raise $1.2 trillion in revenue in that period. Trump ripped Harris during his speech in Savannah on Tuesday, calling her the « tax queen. » « They love her in other countries because she forces everybody out of our country into their hands. The tax queen is demanding a 33% tax hike on all domestic production, » he said. « Now, you know you can hate companies and all that, but they still fuel growth and they fuel jobs, they fuel everything. » Trump also announced Tuesday that « we will set up special zones of federal land with ultra-low taxes and regulations for American producers » which will be « ideal spots for relocating entire industries that we’ve taken in from other countries.
