Esteban Gordillo cortó cuatro orejas y ganó este viernes por la noche el III Trofeo Domingo Ortega , un certamen para novilleros sin picadores cuya final se celebró en la plaza de toros de Toledo, que registró una excelente entrada. Se lidió un encierro de El Montecillo, en un cartel que completaron Raúl Caamaño y Javier Cuartero. Alumno de la Escuela Taurina de Toledo, Gordillo nació en 2004 y descubrió la afición por los toros gracias a su abuelo y diferentes amigos del colegio. A los siete años entró en la escuela, de la mano de Gregorio Lalanda y Joselito de Vega. Debutó como becerrista en 2022 y sin picadores en 2023. El 19 de agosto del pasado año se presentó como novillero en Toledo, donde cortó dos orejas a la novillada del Conde de Mayalde y también salió como triunfador. Mientras, este año ha toreado en plazas como Talavera, Alicante o Valencia. En esta tercera edición del Trofeo han participado 25 novilleros, 13 de ellos de la Escuela de Toledo y los otros 12 de seis escuelas del resto de España : Albacete, Alicante, Badajoz, Guadalajara, Madrid y Valencia. Las clases prácticas del certamen comenzaron en mayo y se han celebrado en diferentes municipios de a provincia, como Nambroca, Los Navalucillos, Los Navalmorales, La Puebla de Montalbán y Yepes. El Trofeo Domingo Ortega está organizado por la Diputación de Toledo y la comunidad de propietarios de la plaza de toros, con la colaboración de la empresa Eventos Mare Nostrum, que gestiona el coso capitalino. A la final acudieron la presidenta de la Diputación, Conchi Cedillo; el vicepresidente de Asuntos Generales, Empleo y Promoción Turística, Joaquín Romera; el presidente de la comunidad de propietarios, Eduardo Martín-Peñato; el responsable de Eventos Mare Nostrum, Nacho Lloret, y el director de la Escuela Taurina de Toledo, Eugenio de Mora.

Bei dem Unfall wurde eine Frau schwer verletzt, wie die Polizei mitteilte. Die beiden Fahrer stießen demnach auf einer Bundesstraße frontal zusammen, als der Mann abbiegen wollte und der Frau dabei die Vorfahrt nahm. Die 59-Jährige wurde bei dem Unfall schwer verletzt und musste in ein Krankenhaus gebracht werden.Der mutmaßliche Unfallverursacher soll sich nach der Kollision zu Fuß von der Unfallstelle entfernt haben. Im Rahmen der Fahndung konnte er aber gefasst werden. Gegen den Mann laufen nun Anzeigen wegen Unfallflucht und Fahrens ohne Fahrerlaubnis.
